The mission of the North Olmsted Division of Aging/Senior Center, a community focal point and multipurpose Senior Center, is to stimulate the intellectual, physical and spiritual well being of participants by providing supportive and innovative service that help maintain the independence and dignity of those 55 years and older.
The North Olmsted Senior Center is located at 28114 Lorain Road (in North Olmsted Park). The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Senior Center building was dedicated on June 6, 1980. The Senior Center welcomes everyone 55 years of age or older from all communities. Since 1980 the North Olmsted Senior Center has served the community as a gathering place for many individuals with interests in health and wellness, nutritional needs, educational opportunities, travel, volunteerism and social interaction, just to name a few.
The North Olmsted Senior Center offers a variety of services and activities including trips, $1.00 lunches on Tuesday’s & Thursday’s, special events such as Health Fairs & International Food Cook-Offs, intergenerational events, free health screenings, educational speakers, entertainers and musicians. The North Olmsted Senior Center also offers a wide variety of exercise programs such as, Chair Yoga, Geri-fit, Ballo-Flex, Matter of Balance Classes and much more! A licensed social worker is available to offer assistance with outreach needs such as, Meals on Wheels and Transportation to North Olmsted residents.
