Lakewood West serves congregate meal lunch (11:30 AM) to persons 60 and older. A Participant Intake Form (PIF) must be completed and can be obtained at the front desk. Once the PIF is completed, eligible persons may sign up and receive a congregate lunch. Please contact the Division of Aging for more details.

Lakewood Alive administers a Housing Outreach Program for Lakewood residents designed to offer a one-stop place for residents, both owner occupants and renters, to gain access to services so they are able to live in healthy and safe housing. Also provides assistance and linkage to contractors, home repair services, and lawn care/snow removal.

Lakewood Community Services Center, with its partners, serves the community by providing basic needs assistance and personalized resource and referral services including: food service, summer lunch program, employment, mental health services, housing assistance and supportive services. This also includes DOA transporation to LCSC on the first Monday of every month for food distribution.

The Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) provides Medicare beneficiaries with free, objective health insurance information and one-on-one counseling. 1st Tuesday of every month by OSHIIP certified counselor from Carmella Rose.

Transportation services are available to Lakewood residents 60 years of age and older. Transporation to medical appointments in a designated geographic service area is offered through a contract with Senior Transportation Connection. Transporation services offered by the City of Lakewood is available to and from the Senior Center and Lakewood East meal site, grocery shopping, and special events. One way rides to selected banks, drugstores, hair salons, and the library are available to residents who are able to come to the Center.
